OUR STORY

We believe that beautiful design can and should be functional.

Our thoughtfully designed collection of objects and goods provides an opportunity to redefine life in the home and beyond.

Winden launched as a jewelry line in 2013 with a collection that incorporated sustainable materials, including recycled stones, American-mined stones, and found stones alongside recycled metals.

Our first collection of hair accessories debuted in early 2018. This collection of clips, barrettes, and combs is made at a family-owned and -operated factory in France using cellulose acetate and pre-consumer recycled materials.

In 2021, we expanded our collection to include personal care. Our Signature Solid Shampoo was introduced with a refillable, recycled plastic container that allows consumers the opportunity to reduce the amount of single-use plastic in their personal care routine.

Today, Winden offers a curated selection of home goods, personal care, accessories, and jewelry.

A journey to live a more conscious lifestyle.

Rebecca Mapes is a multidisciplinary artist whose work currently comprises painting, jewelry, collage, and glass blowing.

Originally from upstate New York, Rebecca has always been drawn to bucolic landscapes and organic shapes. With an emphasis on plants, flowers, stones and shells, she explores the space between form and function, creating pieces that are often playful, and always anchored in the natural affordances of the medium.

Throughout 2022 and 2023, she worked as the Community Leader for Female Startup Club. In this role, Rebecca mentored female founders and worked to empower historically disadvantaged entrepreneurs. She is devoted to using her skills and experience to protect people and the planet.

Rebecca holds a BFA from Pratt Institute in New York City, where she lived and worked for ten years. After establishing Winden, Mapes relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico. All of her work is currently designed and produced in Santa Fe.
