Our Signature Solid Shampoo is a low-waste way to gently cleanse and nourish the hair and scalp, eliminating single-use plastic from this essential step in personal care routines. The 2.5-ounce shampoo typically lasts about 30 washes or three months for those that wash their hair twice weekly.
Made in the United States with a unique blend of ingredients, our solid shampoo cleanses without stripping hair of essential moisture or leaving behind any residue. Our formula is available unscented to ensure gentleness on the most sensitive scalps. The scented version is light, citrusy, and fresh with floral undertones. Our manufacturing facility is FDA Registered, GMP, ISO 13484 compliant, and Leaping Bunny certified (we are currently working on our own brand certification).

HOW TO USE
Apply solid directly to thoroughly wet hair, and glide the shampoo down hair focusing on the roots. Repeat until a rich lather has formed. Massage into hair and scalp, and rinse. Apply favorite conditioner.

Why a solid shampoo?
Our goal is to reduce plastic waste — and to help others do the same. Solid hair care products presented a new way for us to do just that. With a solid shampoo, not only is the plastic bottle eliminated from your routine but so is the excess water.
Unlike some solid shampoo bars, we do not use any saponified oils (soap) in our formula. Our shampoo does not leave behind any residue or require the need for a vinegar rinse (which can occur when soap is formulated incorrectly). The use of soap can give the hair and skin that “squeaky clean” feeling and has a high pH. Repeated exposure to high or low pH products (especially high pH products) can compromise your skin barrier leading to irritation and inflammation. This isn’t the case for everyone, the pH of your skin can actually bounce back quite quickly, it is a greater concern for people with pre-existing skin issues.
Instead of using soap, we formulated with sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI), a gentle surfactant (compounds that remove dirt and excess oil) that can be derived from coconut oil. Studies have shown that it is less damaging to the skin barrier than soap.
We think you’ll really enjoy the experience of using a solid shampoo. Some find that it takes a bit longer to create a lather with a solid shampoo, so we recommend applying the bar directly to very wet hair to create your desired lather. From there, massage gently into hair and scalp, and rinse.
You’ll find that our solid products are easy to travel with and take up less space in your shower. The best part? No plastic and no added unnecessary water.
